The Harvest Begins…The Veranda 2016

Today, I had my first ripe tomato! Very ex­cit­ing. Here’s a look at how th­ings are mov­ing along on The Veran­da. Some­th­ing is eat­ing this basil plant. All the other basil plants are fine, so it’s a bit bi­zar­re.

Blistered Shishito Peppers

The most suc­cess­ful veget­able plants from my gard­en on The Veran­da were the shis­hito pepp­er plants. I al­ways tried to pick them be­fore they tur­ned red and spicy, but even when I mis­sed a few, they were not par­ticular­ly hot or tough.
