Tonight I made Artichokes with Lemon and Dill Aioli. Very simple stuff, and very delicious. For two servings, boil two large artichokes for 8 – 12 minutes in salted water, until tender when pierced with a fork. In a bowl, whisk together two cloves of garlic (forced through a garlic press), the zest and juice of one small lemon, two tablespoons of fresh dill, and 3/4 cup of mayonnaise. Salt and pepper, to taste. I followed this with a delicious NY Strip Steak (salt and pepper each side and broil, under high heat, for 5 minutes on each side – for medium rare). Yum!
