Artichokes with Lemon and Dill Aioli

Tonight I made Ar­tichokes with Lemon and Dill Aioli. Very sim­ple stuff, and very de­lici­ous. For two serv­ings, boil two large ar­tichokes for 8 – 12 minutes in sal­ted water, until tend­er when pier­ced with a fork. In a bowl, whisk togeth­er two cloves of gar­lic (for­ced through a gar­lic press), the zest and juice of one small lemon, two tab­lespoons of fresh dill, and 3/4 cup of mayon­na­ise. Salt and pepp­er, to taste. I fol­lowed this with a de­lici­ous NY Strip Steak (salt and pepp­er each side and broil, under high heat, for 5 minutes on each side – for medium rare). Yum!
