Many may scoff at the desire to find such a thing – probably those who are musicians and have access to live music and are able to perform. For those of us who may have once been considered as such and have let their determination and opportunities to perform fall by the wayside, there is karaoke. Karaoke: the relatively cheap, no-live-band-necessary way to revisit your true love of singing. Sure, most of us in this category were once musical theatre majors, so when I say “good” karaoke, I very much mean “includes an excellent and up-to-date collection of Broadway (etc.) selections.”
My best bud and partner in crime in this effort get to go less frequently than desired, but we manage to make it happen occasionally. Lately we have been going for the room, rather than the bar experience, but intend to mix it up a bit more going forward. More to come!
